Meet Dr. King

Donald D. King, DMD

Dr. Donald King has been actively practicing dentistry for 37 years. He attended Auburn University, where he was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1969 and was awarded the Presidents Award. Dr. King graduated in 1974 with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School Of Dentistry. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Alabama Dental Association. He is past secretary, vice president and president of the 5th District Dental Society, of which he is still a member. Dr. King spends many hours a year advancing his knowledge with the latest dental technology seminars and continuing education.

Dr. King was inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists at its 81st Annual Convocation in Orlando, Florida, on October 8, 2010. An honorary organization for the recognition of outstanding and meritorious service to the profession and community, the college presented Dr. King with a membership plaque, a gold lapel pin, and a gold key symbolic of this Fellowship for conspicuous service rendered in the art and science of dentistry. In a cap and gown ceremony, 250 dentists were inducted into the college at this year's ceremony, witnessed by hundreds of members and guests. The college, with representative chapters in more than 80 countries, has approximately 10,800 members, including about 6,500 in the United States.

Dr. King’s interests outside of work include spending time with his wife, Mandi, their children, and his grandchildren. He also enjoys the beach and traveling.
